After college, Daniel moves to New York and shares an apartment with Charlotte, the high-school senior he has secretly loved for years. Charlotte is a fashion influencer whose photographer boyfriend, James, seems devoted — but whenever she blacks out drunk, he photographs her and sells the images, sorted and priced, on adult sites and encrypted forums, even taking paid custom orders. Daniel stumbles on the truth, only to be framed by James with staged photos as a "molester" — and Charlotte, heartbroken, believes her boyfriend. Daniel moves out in despair, yet zooming into James's smug couple photos, he reads the plea in Charlotte's eyes and keeps digging in the shadows. Night after night he screenshots proof: James charging money, taking orders, publishing and deleting. He also discovers James plans to bring a stranger home to assault her. Charlotte, finally awakened, joins Daniel's trap: she plays drunk, James brings his buyer over, Daniel kicks the door down, and a hidden iPad records everything. James is arrested and ruined; Daniel finally confesses his years-long love — and the two end up together.
